Musical instruments
There are three groups to classify musical instruments: string family, wind family and percussion family.
1) String family: they are musical instruments that produce sounds from vibrating strings. For example: piano, guitar, violin, cello, harp...
- Wood- wind instruments: They are usually made of wood and their sound is more acute. Examples: clarinet, oboe, bassoon, flute and saxophone (they are made of metal but their sound is acute).
- Metal- wind instruments: They are usually made of metal and their sound is lower. Examples: tuba, trumpet, horn, trombone...
Percussion family: They are those that produce sound when are strucked or shaken. Sometimes using our hands, or sometimes drumsticks. For example: xylophone, drum, rythmstick, bells, triangle, maracas, cymballs...
Aquí os dejo algunos vídeos muy útiles para aprender los instrumentos (para repasar vocabulario, para trabajar la discriminación auditiva...) y a continuación algunas fichas realizadas por los alumnos en clase.
